Journalists mobilized against Nigohan Indane Gas Agency, memorandum submitted to SDM on allegations of cheapness and indecency.

Controversy has deepened over serious allegations like discounting, black marketing and illegal occupation of government roads at Nigohan Indane Gas Agency located in Mohanlalganj, capital Lucknow. The matter became more heated when senior journalist Moin Khan, who had come for coverage, was allegedly abused and threatened with death by agency operator Rajeev Saini. In protest against this incident, Nigohan Press Club, under the leadership of Patron Mukesh Dwivedi and President Vimal Singh Chauhan, has submitted a memorandum to SDM Pawan Patel demanding strict action against the culprits.
It is noteworthy that the agency has already been accused of assaulting a BJP leader and the case of illegal construction of its warehouse is in the final stages in the Tehsildar Court. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the SDM has assured of impartial investigation and strict legal action. During this, more than two dozen journalists including senior journalists Akhilesh Dwivedi, Lalit Dixit, Moin Khan, Shiva Mishra were present.
