According to the Election Commission, this time a total of 84.69% voting took place in Tamil Nadu.

Women: 85.76%
Third Gender: 60.49%

There are a total of 5.73 crore voters in the state, including:

2.93 crore women
7,728 third gender voters are included
Time wise status of voting:
9 am: 17.69%
11 am: 37.56%
3 pm: 70%
5 pm: 82.24%
Technical problems in EVM:
The start of voting was delayed due to electronic voting machine (EVM) malfunction at some polling stations, but officials immediately resolved the problem.

This time the main contest is between the DMK alliance and the AIADMK-led NDA alliance. Voting took place in a single phase in the state, with the fate of over 4,000 candidates at stake.
