According to the Election Commission, this time a total of 84.69% voting took place in Tamil Nadu.

Male: 83.57%

Women: 85.76%

Third Gender: 60.49%

Total number of voters:
There are a total of 5.73 crore voters in the state, including:

2.80 crore men

2.93 crore women

7,728 third gender voters are included

Time wise status of voting:

9 am: 17.69%

11 am: 37.56%

3 pm: 70%

5 pm: 82.24%

Technical problems in EVM:
The start of voting was delayed due to electronic voting machine (EVM) malfunction at some polling stations, but officials immediately resolved the problem.

Political Competition:
This time the main contest is between the DMK alliance and the AIADMK-led NDA alliance. Voting took place in a single phase in the state, with the fate of over 4,000 candidates at stake.

First total voters: 6.41 crore

1.02 crore names removed (15.85%)

6 lakh names were added again after verification

Final voter count: 5.73 crore+

BJP candidate from Mylapore Tamilisai Sundararajan praised the preparations of the Election Commission and said that safe and fair voting was ensured this time.
