Seeking Peace in the Hills, the first international tourism fair in Bhutan, will have a bunch of surprises

Bhutan is the land of clouds and mountains. This time, the world is ready to give a big surprise to tourism. The country’s first ‘Bhutan International Travel Mart’ (BITM) is going to be organized in Thimpu in 2026. Famous tourism companies of the world will participate in this fair for three days from 11th to 13th of June. Not just beauty, this initiative has been taken in keeping with Bhutan’s eternal ‘High Value, Low Volume’ policy.

One of the attractions of this event is going to be ‘Guelph Mindfulness City’. The future of Bhutan tourism revolves around this dream city of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. This city is not just a stone building, but a modern ‘nest of peace’. There will be arrangements for yoga, meditation and getting lost in nature. The infrastructure of the city is being developed in a completely environment-friendly manner. Where health and stability will prevail.

Organized by the Tourism Department of the Government of Bhutan and tourism traders, the fair has a special emphasis on ‘regenerative tourism’.
