Sai Sudarshan created history by scoring a century against RCB, became only the second cricketer to achieve this feat in IPL.

This batsman, playing for Gujarat Titans in the 34th match of IPL 2026, created history by batting brilliantly against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In this match being played on Friday (April 24) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Sudarshan along with captain Shubman Gill gave an excellent start to the team.

There was a strong partnership of 128 runs in 76 balls for the first wicket between the two batsmen. Sai Sudarshan showed his excellent form during this period and completed his century in 57 balls. He played an excellent inning of 100 runs in 58 balls, which included 11 fours and 5 sixes.

With this century, Sai Sudarshan created a big history. He has become the first Indian batsman to score centuries in IPL in three consecutive seasons (2024, 2025 and 2026). Before him in the world, only West Indies legend Chris Gayle had been able to achieve this feat. Chris Gayle had scored centuries in three consecutive IPL seasons in 2011, 2012 and 2013, whereas now Sai Sudarshan has also made his place in the same special club.
