Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a major setback in the Rajya Sabha. Raghav Chadha has announced in a press conference that he is leaving AAP and joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has also told that along with him, two-thirds of the MPs are merging their party with BJP. On this big rebellion in AAP, party MP Sanjay Singh has said that this is BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ and a conspiracy to stop the Bhagwant Mann government from working. Sanjay Singh has also said that the people of Punjab will answer for the betrayal of these MPs. He said that these leaders are being broken by using agencies like CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Earlier, Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal held a press conference and alleged that AAP has deviated from its principles. Raghav Chadha said that he had been feeling for a long time that he was the right man but in the wrong party. Sandeep Pathak said that he has no complaint against anyone and he also thanks all the leaders including Arvind Kejriwal. At the same time, Ashok Mittal is also going to join BJP. Just a few days ago, ED raided the premises of Ashok Mittal.
What did Aam Aadmi Party say?
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has said, ‘BJP has again betrayed Punjabis.’ In a press conference on this issue, Sanjay Singh said, ‘A conspiracy has started to stop the good work of the Punjab government. Have done the work of deceiving the people of Punjab. 7 MPs have defected and joined BJP. The people of Punjab should remember these seven names. People of Punjab should remember these traitors. The party made Raghav Chaddha an MLA and MP. The people of Punjab have given so much love, now they have reached the lap of BJP.

Taking the names of the other MPs, Sanjay Singh said, ‘Sandeep Pathak got the opportunity to reach Rajya Sabha with the blessings of the people of Punjab. Look at the history of Rajendra Gupta and see how far the party has taken it. Vikramjit Sahni, Ashok Mittal, Swati Maliwal, Harbhajan Singh, the Aam Aadmi Party and the people of Punjab worked to lift all of them from the ground and send them to the Parliament of the country. The people of Punjab will not forgive all this.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has said on this matter, ‘These 7 people who have gone are not from Punjab. They have nothing to do with BJP either. Captain Saheb had also gone, does not hear the name of Manpreet Badal. Ravneet Bittu has only been made a minister. BJP is not actually a party of the Indian people.
AAP is linking with Punjab government
After the rebellion of these MPs, Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Sanjay Singh has said, ‘The people of Punjab will never forgive you for the disgusting game you have played, the attempt you have made to stop Bhagwant Mann’s government, this betrayal and deception. Everyone is watching who was taken from where to where. I feel very sad because a good government is running in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann ji is doing good work there and today the game of Operation Lotus is being played with that government.

Referring to the ED raid on Ashok Mittal’s house and Lovely Professional University, Sanjay Singh said, ‘ED raided and broke. This means that Operation Lotus is being run by showing fear and using administrative machinery. Whenever Punjab was betrayed, the people of Punjab responded. The people of Punjab will answer this also. This Operation Lotus is under the leadership of Amit Shah and Narendra Modi. This is to deceive the people of Punjab and stop their work.
