Big decision of Yogi government, new rules implemented for housing scheme

Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented an important and strict system for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. Now the next installment of housing construction will be released to the beneficiaries only when the quality of construction is completely checked and verified. The objective of the government is to ensure that the houses provided to poor families are safe, sturdy and up to standards.

Investigation will be done on the basis of sample

Under the new system, 5 to 10 percent houses in every project will be selected and examined. Inspection of at least 50 houses will be mandatory. If a project has less than 50 houses, all will be verified.

Interim investigation system implemented

Until Third Party Quality Monitoring Agencies (TPQMA) are appointed at the state level, this responsibility has been given to the district level technical team. This team will inspect each house under the leadership of the project director and assess the quality.

Monitoring every stage of construction

During the inspection, special attention will be paid to the strength of every important stage of construction of the house such as foundation, structure and structure. Besides, the quality of the material used in construction will also be thoroughly checked.

Transparency through digital records

Complete records of every inspection will be prepared in digital form. This will include geo-tagged photo, beneficiary details, payment status and signatures of officials. This will maintain transparency in the entire process. If needed, the government will also be able to take the help of government technical institutions and expert agencies so that the investigation process can become more accurate and reliable.
