Ganja smuggling was being done under the guise of iron ore, police caught it

Sanjay Singh, Patna. In a major action amid the ongoing campaign against drugs in Bihar, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has dealt a major blow to the organized network of smugglers. A truck driver has been arrested while seizing a consignment of 281 kg of ganja which was being hidden under the guise of iron ore. Initial investigations have revealed a well-organized network of interstate smuggling, which was active from Odisha to North India.

According to sources, DRI had received secret information that huge quantities of drugs were being sent to Uttar Pradesh via Bihar through trucks via Odisha. Considering the seriousness of the information, the team laid a trap on National Highway-2 (NH-2) near Dobhi in Gaya district. Late night the suspicious truck was stopped and searched, from where this shocking revelation came to light.
