The incident took place on April 22 at around 11:35 am in the Knights Lane area. The elderly man was walking peacefully on the footpath when he was stopped without reason. An unknown and masked youth stopped them and started abusing them continuously. This tragic incident has exposed the growing racial tension in Canadian society.

It can be clearly seen in the viral video that the accused is harassing the victim a lot. He was repeatedly asking the old man, what are you doing in my country. Along with this, he was also continuously using obscene racial abuses and abusive words.

The victimized Sikh man tried to maintain peace and distance himself from the masked youth. But the attacker continued moving towards him without any provocation and pushed him several times. This entire scary incident happened in an area very close to Turtle Island School.

Video of the incident and police action

During this incident, the victim showed bravery and recorded a video from his mobile. Saving himself, he immediately called the police to inform them about the attack. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and arrested the accused youth.

Police said that the accused youth had jumped the school fence and entered the campus after the incident. It is a matter of relief that no student or staff was harmed during this intrusion. The police took immediate action and secured the entire area and registered a case.
