Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami resolves public grievances

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a public hearing at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Mukhya Sevak Sadan on Saturday, where he personally listened to and addressed grievances from citizens across the state. He resolved several cases immediately and directed officials to take swift, time-bound action on issues related to roads, drinking water, healthcare, education, and financial assistance.

He stressed the importance of prioritizing effective disposal of public complaints without unnecessary delays and insisted on regular monitoring of each case. The Chief Minister affirmed that the government’s goal is to enhance the sensitivity, accountability, and transparency of governance to ensure the public receives timely relief. He noted, “Public hearings serve as a strong bridge between the government and citizens, enabling quick resolution of issues while continuously improving administrative functioning.”

During the event, representatives from the Uttarakhand Film, Television and Radio Association presented a letter of appreciation to Chief Minister Dhami for implementing an effective and forward-looking film policy. They highlighted that the policy is transforming Uttarakhand into a key destination for film production, generating new opportunities for local artists, technicians, and youth.

Schoolgirls from various institutions, organized by the Jan Jagran Abhiyan Samiti, exhibited creative posters focusing on 15 flagship government schemes. They expressed gratitude for the benefits these initiatives have brought to different social groups. The Chief Minister praised the students’ efforts, stating that such activities raise awareness and foster sensitivity towards social and governance matters. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to advancing education, women’s empowerment, and youth development through public-centric schemes.

Additionally, Dhami observed honey extraction at the Chief Minister’s residence complex, where 520 kilograms of honey have been produced in just 45 days. He emphasized Uttarakhand’s potential for promoting honey production, particularly in mountainous and forested regions, and instructed officials to develop a policy for installing bee boxes to generate employment for local communities.

He announced that beekeeping would be prioritized under the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme, with special subsidies offered to farmers and entrepreneurs involved in the sector. The Chief Minister highlighted that expanding beekeeping in the hilly areas would support the rural economy, increase local incomes, and contribute to environmental conservation.

During the visit, Dhami directed Horticulture In-charge Deepak Purohit to plant suitable flowering and pollen-rich plants year-round within the Chief Minister’s residence complex to sustain honey production. He also proposed establishing a “Three-B” garden—bird-friendly, bee-friendly, and butterfly-friendly—and urged the launch of related plantation drives on World Environment Day and the Harela festival. He stated that these initiatives would support environmental conservation while boosting beekeeping and honey production, providing a new direction for the state’s economy.
