After Congress-Akali, now ‘AAP may’ Punjab BJP, the clan is continuously growing before 2027

For the Bharatiya Janata Party, it is said in political circles that even before one election is over, the party starts preparing for the next. There are some similar indications from the political developments in Delhi yesterday that BJP has now started preparing for the assembly elections of Punjab after West Bengal. A total of 7 Rajya Sabha MPs, including Aam Aadmi Party MPs Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak, have decided to bid goodbye to the party and join BJP. Out of these 7 MPs, 6 had come to Delhi after being elected from Punjab. Due to this political development, the turmoil in the politics of Punjab has intensified.

This is the largest number of leaders coming from Aam Aadmi Party in Bharatiya Janata Party till date. Arvind Kejriwal used to say for Congress that Congress leaders break away and go to other parties but BJP is not able to break even one of our leaders. Now BJP has removed its own 7 Rajya Sabha MPs. Now the list of leaders from other parties in BJP in Punjab has become even longer. After Congress and Akalis, now AAP leaders have also joined this list.

Apart from this, former Punjab Minister Captain Amarinder Singh did Congress politics for decades and has now joined BJP. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, former Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, Jaiinder Kaur, Pritpal Singh Baliawal, Ranjan Kamra, Fatehjang Bajwa, Kewal Dhillon, Jagmeet Singh, Ripjit Singh Brar, Ashwani Sekhri left Congress and joined BJP. Keep an eye on angry AAP leaders

Bharatiya Janata Party is now eyeing the angry leaders of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. Many AAP leaders in Punjab are said to be angry. These include many names which have been removed from the cabinet. Apart from this, there are many MLAs who are angry with the party. Bharatiya Janata Party is keeping an eye on all these leaders.

Sandeep Pathak and Raghav Chadha have joined BJP. Both of them had prepared a strategy for the Aam Aadmi Party in the 2022 assembly elections. The opposition even called Raghav Chadha the Super CM of Punjab. In such a situation, with his arrival, BJP has got a strategic edge in Punjab. Both these leaders have good relations with AAP leaders and MLAs. In such a situation, both of them can play an important role in bringing the angry leaders into the BJP fold.

BJP’s strategy

Bharatiya Janata Party has not been able to perform much in Punjab so far. The party has been in power several times but as a junior partner in the coalition. Akali Dal has been playing the role of elder brother of BJP in Punjab but due to farmer laws, Akali Dal broke ties with BJP in Punjab. After this BJP is contesting the elections alone. However, BJP could not show much impact in the elections. The party does not have a single MP in Punjab. BJP has decided to contest the 2027 elections alone. In such a situation, the party has opened doors for leaders of other parties. Even before this, many leaders have been included.
