Extreme heat continues to wreak havoc, heat wave alert in 22 districts in MP today
Bhopal . Madhya Pradesh is in the grip of intense heat these days. The temperature has increased in Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar and Rewa divisions. At the same time, intense heat of sunlight is being seen in Malwa-Nimar region, Indore and Ujjain as well as in Bhopal and Narmadapuram. On Saturday, temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius or more were recorded in 6 cities of the state.
Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district was the hottest, where the mercury reached 44.6 degrees. Today on Sunday, heat wave (loo) alert has been issued in 22 districts including Gwalior. However, there are also signs of change in the weather. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in many parts for the next three days from April 27.
The districts under heat wave warning include Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Dindori, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Dhar and Alirajpur. At the same time, the effect of heat will continue in Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain and the temperature is expected to remain above 41 degrees.
In view of the increasing heat, the administration has taken precautionary measures. In Indore district, holiday has been declared from April 27 to 30 in Anganwadi centers and all schools up to class 8. Whereas, classes from 9th to 12th will be conducted from 7:30 am to 12 noon. Instructions have also been given to close schools up to 8th in Gwalior and Ujjain, while holidays have also been declared in some schools of Bhopal.
Last Saturday, the effect of heat was at its peak across the state. After Khajuraho, a temperature of 44.5 degrees was recorded in Ratlam. 44.1 degrees in Datia and Dhar, 44 degrees in Naugaon and Sheopur, 43.8 degrees in Tikamgarh and Mandla, 43.6 degrees in Damoh, 43.5 degrees in Umaria, 43.4 degrees in Narmadapuram, 43.3 degrees in Guna and Satna, 43.2 degrees in Sidhi, 43.1 degrees in Sagar, 43 degrees in Rewa and Malajkhand. degrees, Raisen recorded 42.8 degrees and Khargone recorded 42.4 degrees. Talking about big cities, the temperature reached 43 degrees in Gwalior and Ujjain. 42.4 degrees were recorded in Bhopal, 42.2 degrees in Indore and 42.6 degrees in Jabalpur.
Amidst the scorching heat, light rain was also seen in Mandsaur. According to the Meteorological Department, three cyclonic circulations are active over the state and a trough line is also passing, due to which there has been a change in the weather in some areas. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the last days of April. On April 28 and 29, there may be rain and thundershowers in Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur and Sagar divisions. This change will be seen due to the active western disturbance.
