Ayushmaan Sethi: Famous actress Archana Puran Singh’s son Ayushmann Sethi recently became a victim of online fraud. Due to a ‘free trial’, around Rs 87,000 was deducted from his credit card. The incident was revealed in the family’s YouTube vlog, which was shared by their elder son Aryaman Sethi.

Free trial becomes a trap

Ayushmann told that he had signed up for a 7-day free trial on a website. According to the rules, the money was to be deducted after the trial was over, but within an hour the company charged the fees for the entire year.

When Ayushmann told this at home, Archana immediately got nervous and advised him to block the card. His father Parmeet Sethi remained calm and said that first try to cancel the payment.

Ayushmann looked quite upset in the vlog. He said that he could not understand how to stop the payment. However, he later lodged a complaint with the company, which asked for 48 hours’ time.

Have been victims of fraud before too

Aryaman told that this is not the first time. Even before this, around Rs 80,000 had been deducted from Ayushmann’s PlayStation account, which he did not get back. That means till now he has faced fraud of about Rs 1.67 lakh.

Despite the serious situation, the atmosphere at home remained light. Ayushmann was upset about the money being cut, but was still seen playing video games. When Aryaman asked if he was crying, he said that he had filed a complaint and would have to wait for 48 hours. Hearing this, the family laughed, while Parmeet Sethi also took a dig at their haste.
