AAP protests at Raghav Chadha’s residence: Police detain activists

Mumbai Police detained some Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers who were protesting against Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha in Khar area of ​​Mumbai. Chadha had joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday. AAP Mumbai unit president Preeti Sharma Menon said the police prevented AAP workers from protesting peacefully against traitor Chadha and detained local leader Ruben Mascarenhas.

A Khar police official confirmed that Mascarenhas and some other activists were taken to the police station, but did not elaborate. Menon said, Mumbai Police has no other work except the security of Raghav Chadha’s Mumbai residence. AAP’s Mumbai unit workers were prevented from holding a peaceful protest against the traitor. Reuben has been detained at Khar police station. But BJP has been given freedom to block roads arbitrarily.

AAP’s Mumbai unit had planned a protest in Khar area against Chadha, who recently joined the BJP, and six other Rajya Sabha members of the party. AAP suffered a major blow on Friday when Raghav Chadha, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak, Harbhajan Singh, Rajendra Gupta, Vikram Sahni and Swati Maliwal left the party. These MPs had alleged that the party led by Arvind Kejriwal has deviated from its principles and moral values.
