Ride a bicycle, live a healthy life and save environment and fuel – Dr. Rajesh Singh
Gopiganj. The ‘Vishal Cycle Yatra’ organized by ‘Bhadohi Cycling Club’, imbibing unwavering devotion towards the environment and resolution of a healthy life, became a Mahakumbh of public awareness on Sunday.
The aim of this journey, which took place under the dynamic leadership of the club’s national president Ataul Mustafa Ansari, was to make every section of the society aware about nature and health. It is the glory of Ataul Ansari’s far-sighted vision and strong will that he has brought every section of the society on a common platform, where everyone is becoming the charioteer of this revolution for building ‘Clean, Green and Prosperous India’ in one voice.
This innovative initiative of Bhadohi Cycling Club started from Bada Chauraha on the National Highway. This caravan of consciousness passed through Shaheed Tiraha, Kanji House, Joharpur and reached Gurukulam Educational Institute, Nanavagpur Jakhaan.
“As soon as the yatra reached Gurukulam Shikshan Sansthan, Nanavagpur Jakhaan, the atmosphere was filled with joy and happiness. Here the school family, under the leadership of Gurukulam Shikshan Sansthan’s Director Dr. Rajesh Singh and Manager Rohit Singh, gave a grand welcome to the cyclists by laying down pavadas.
The shower of flowers and thunderous applause by the students and teachers and the gift of body clothes to all not only encouraged the pilgrims but also infused a new energy into this health campaign. This love and respect received from loved ones made the resolve to protect the environment even stronger.”
Dr. Rajesh Singh, Director of Gurukulam Educational Institute, explained to the people, “Cycling is an excellent cardio exercise that reduces the risk of diseases like heart diseases, diabetes and obesity. It is also helpful in reducing stress and staying mentally fit.
The bicycle does not emit any smoke or harmful gases, which reduces air pollution. Cycling is budget-friendly amid rising prices of petrol and diesel. Its maintenance cost is also very low.
Increasing the number of bicycles on the roads will reduce the congestion of motor vehicles, which will reduce road accidents.
Dr. Singh’s message “Ride a bicycle, save both health and environment” is not only a personal advice, but a big step towards becoming a responsible citizen.
Expressing concern over the modern lifestyle, Manager of Gurukulam Educational Institute, Mr. Rohit Singh has alerted the society about health. He said: “In today’s fast-paced life, we have become so busy with our luxuries that we have forgotten to take time out for our bodies.
It is extremely worrying that our young generation, which is the future of the country, is falling prey to diseases at an early age due to lack of exercise and yoga. If the youth of the country will be unhealthy, then it is a big crisis for the progress of the nation.”
Director Dr Rajesh Singh and Manager Rohit Singh flagged off the cycle journey, which filled all the participants with enthusiasm.”
