LSG vs KKR, IPL 2026: Here are the key moments and turning points from the clash at the Ekana Stadium

5) Mohsin Khan’s double-wicket blow

Mohsin Khan had already started the match in dreamy fashion, dismissing Tim Seifert (0) in his first over and Ajinkya Rahane (10) in his second to shift the pressure early on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). But it was dismissing Cameron Green and Anukul Roy in back-to-back deliveries in his third over that landed the killer blow on the three-time champions.

4) Rinku Singh’s death-overs fireworks

Rinku Singh carried from where he left off in the game against the Rajasthan Royals in Kolkata when he guided the three-time champions to a come-from-behind victory. The left-handed batter smacked the wily Digvesh Rathi for four sixes in the over to take the Knight Riders to 155 after being 73/6 at one stage, having smashed an unbeaten 83.

3) Ayush Badoni’s dismissal for 24

With 38 needing off the final 18 deliveries, Varun Chakravarthy dismissed Ayush Badoni to land a massive blow on the Super Giants. With Himmat Singh also at the other end and Badoni set, the duo could have dragged the Super Giants over the line with a few balls to spare.

2) Mohammed Shami’s last-ball six

With Vaibhav Arora bowling more than a decent last-second over, he left Tyagi 17 to defend in the 20th. The bye off Mohammed Shami was followed by two waist-high full-tosses, the second of which was reviewed by the Knight Riders. But the decision to call it a waist-high full-toss was upheld and the free hit stood. Himmat Singh followed it up with a boundary and the right-arm speedster bounced back with a wicket. While the 25-year-old gave away only one run in the next two balls, Mohammed Shami tied the game by clobbering a six off the 120th delivery to take it to the Super over.

1) Sunil Narine’s godly super over

Tasked with bowling the super over, KKR’s long-standing lieutenant Sunil Narine sizzled as he dismissed Nicholas Pooran in the very first ball, followed by conceding a single. Aiden Markram’s wicket sealed the match for the Knight Riders, who needed only two runs to win.
