This ‘bold’ leader of India showed the middle finger to Trump in front of the camera, called India ‘a country like hell’
New Delhi: A video of Karnataka Minister Santosh Lad is becoming increasingly viral. In this, he is seen showing the ‘middle finger’ to US President Donald Trump. The matter is related to Trump’s comment in which he had described India as ‘Hellhole’ i.e. a place like hell.
Lad got angry during press conference
According to media reports, this incident took place in Sandur in Bellary district. Santosh Lad lashed out at Trump during a press conference. He also raised questions on the silence of the Central Government and PM Modi. However, during this time Lad said that this statement has insulted the entire country and PM Narendra Modi.
Santosh Lad said, “Trump has insulted our Prime Minister. Recently he called India ‘Hellhole’. Mr. Trump, you are ‘Mad Max’. You are the President of America, but that does not mean that you should say anything about my country. I strongly condemn your words. I can even show you the middle finger. We all say in unison: Oh please, Trump, go ahead now.”
A debate has erupted in the country on this style of Minister Lad. Critics are calling it non-diplomatic. Whereas supporters say that this is the real form of public anger. Lad also targeted the Centre. He said that it is shameful for the government to remain silent.
What did Trump say about India?
Let us tell you that this controversy started when US President Donald Trump shared a post on ‘Truth Social’. That post was linked to conservative commentator Michael Savage. In this, criticizing birthright citizenship, India and China were described as the ‘hellhole of this planet’.
USA President Donald Trump had also written in this post that a child born here immediately becomes a citizen. Then they call the entire family from China, India or some other ‘hellhole’. There was anger across the world over this statement.
India had expressed objection
It is noteworthy that India immediately retaliated on this absurd statement of Donald Trump. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal gave the statement "ignorant, inappropriate and indecent" told. He said that these do not show the truth of India-US relations.
Relations between the two countries are based on mutual respect. Later, damage control efforts were also made by the American Embassy. He cited Trump’s old statements in which he had called India a ‘great country’. Also emphasized on strong relationships.
