Any fast and festival is celebrated according to Udaya Tithi but on Pradosh Vrat, worship during Pradosh period has importance, hence this fast will be observed on 28th April. This day is Tuesday, hence it will be known as Bhaum Pradosh.

Bhaum Pradosh is on Tuesday 28th April. The auspicious time for worshiping Lord Shiva on this day is from 7:06 pm to 9:18 pm.
how to do puja
- On Bhaum Pradosh, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes.
- Now you have to take a pledge to fast by lighting a lamp in front of God in the puja room.
- After performing puja in the morning, perform proper puja in the evening. In Pradosh Vrat, the importance of worshiping during Pradosh period is considered.
- You can do this puja anywhere in the house or temple. If Shivlinga is installed in the house then the puja can be done at home or it is best to do the puja in the temple.
- While worshiping, first offer water to Shivling and then offer Belpatra. After this you have to offer things like white flowers, Akshat, sesame oil, hemp, Dhatura.
- Now chant Shiva mantras or you can also recite Shiva Chalisa. After doing all this, perform Aarti at the end and distribute Prasad to everyone.
