Bihar: Three including two innocent children murdered in a land dispute, investigation into the case continues.

Muzaffarpur. 30-year-old woman Rita Devi, her two-year-old daughter Vaishnavi and only three-month-old son Kanhaiya were murdered near Shahbazpur Math under Panapur Kariyat police station area of ​​Muzaffarpur district in Bihar late on Monday night. The bodies of all three were found lying on the bed in a room of the house.

Deceased Rita Devi’s husband Mithai Lal Shah, who works in catering by profession, had gone to the marriage procession with his brother on Monday night. When he returned home around 3:30 in the night, he found the main door locked from outside.

When he somehow opened the door and reached inside, he saw the dead bodies of his wife and two small children lying on the bed in the room. There was also a rope lying nearby. Mithai Lal alleges that all three were strangled to death using the same rope.

Mithai Lal Shah and Rita Devi have a total of four children. Mithai Lal Shah told that at the time of the incident, two small children were in the room with their mother, while the other two children were sleeping in another room with their grandmother Urmila Devi, due to which their lives were saved.

Urmila Devi, mother-in-law of the deceased, has directly blamed some relatives of the village for the incident. He says that the family was having a long standing dispute with some people in the village regarding land. Due to this rivalry, his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren were targeted.

As soon as information about the incident was received, DSP West Suchitra Kumari reached the spot and took stock of the entire incident. DSP Western Suchitra Kumari said while talking to the media on Tuesday that prima facie it appears to be murder of the woman and two children.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police has called the forensic team. The bodies have been sent for postmortem. Police are investigating all possible aspects and have said that the exact cause of death will be revealed only after the postmortem report and forensic investigation.
