When the guards refused to do so, Jab attacked them with a knife. At present both the guards are fighting a battle of life and death in the hospital.

Investigation has revealed that the accused Zaib Zuber Ansari is very educated. He is a science graduate and has lived in America for many years. In the year 2020, due to not getting a job in America, he returned to India and started teaching chemistry to children online while living alone in Mira Road. Investigating agencies believe that during loneliness he started on the path of radicalism through the internet. ATS is now scanning the digital footprints of his laptop and mobile to find out whether he had any connection with any handler sitting across the border.

When the agencies searched the house of the accused, some scary hand-written notes were recovered from there. According to sources, in these notes Jaib had expressed his deep desire to join the terrorist organization ISIS. He had described the attack on security guards as his ‘first step’ towards becoming part of a terrorist organisation. Some objectionable books and items have also been found from his house, which are testimony to his dangerous intentions.

CM said- the accused wanted to target Hindus

Seeing the seriousness of this matter, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued a statement. He said that this seems to be a case of ‘self-radicalization’. According to the CM, the accused wanted to target Hindus in the name of Jihad. Security agencies are considering it as a ‘Lone Wolf’ attack. At present, Maharashtra ATS and NIA have taken command of this case.
