PZ vs IU, PSL 2026: Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi batting star Babar Azam has stood up tall in the all-important Qualifier 1 of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 against Islamabad United on April 28, Tuesday at the National Stadium in Karachi. The right-handed batter smashed a majestic six straight down the ground and roared in delight after reaching the three-figure mark for the second time in the eight-team tournament.

Babar, who is the leading run-getter in the tournament history, got to the three-figure score, for the fourth time in PSL. The Lahore-born cricketer scored his first against the Quetta Gladiators in 2023, followed by another in 2024. The third came this year when he needed only 52 deliveries to get to the milestone against Islamabad United. The ton against Islamabad United on Tuesday came off only 57 balls as Babar clubbed Richard Gleeson for a massive six over the bowler’s head and let out a roar.

While Babar belted a hundred, Mohammad Haris equally deserves credit as he smashed a 16-ball 35 to stitch a 72-run opening stand. Kusal Mendis also chipped in with a quick-fire 46, while Aaron Hardie smashed 20 off the 10 deliveries he faced to lift their side to 221/7 in 20 overs.

Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-0-42-3. Gleeson snared a couple, while Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf picked up one each.
