A big decision in the middle of the energy crisis in the war, OPEC is leaving Amirshahi!

Due to the Iran war, there is an energy crisis in the entire country. In this situation, the United Arab Emirates took a big decision. On Tuesday, they announced their withdrawal from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Emirshahi has severed relations with ‘OPEC’ as well as ‘OPEC Plus’. They said that this decision will be effective from May 1.

In a statement, Amirshahi said the decision was taken to focus on expanding domestic energy production and play a responsible role in the global energy market. This decision is in line with the country’s long-term strategic and economic vision. Efforts are currently underway to rapidly increase investment in the energy sector and boost domestic production. This decision is part of that effort. The Emirshahi has also promised to play a responsible role after leaving OPEC.

In this context, Amirshahi Energy Minister Suhail Mohammad Al-Majroui told Reuters, “This decision was taken after reviewing the country’s strategic energy issue. It is a policy decision. As a result, we took it after reviewing the current and future policies related to production levels.”
