A painful incident was witnessed during the match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, when Priyansh Arya’s powerful six hit the face of an elderly fan sitting in the stands. The fan was covered in blood and had to be taken to the hospital. Whereas in the match, Rajasthan Royals achieved the target of 223 runs and defeated Punjab Kings in a thrilling match.
This incident happened in the second over during the match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals played in Mullanpur. Priyansh Arya hit a long six off Nandre Berger, but the ball went straight into the face of an elderly spectator sitting in the stands. As soon as the ball hit the fan, blood started flowing from his face and his shirt also got filled with blood. Onlookers sitting nearby immediately reached out to help. A man cleaned the wound and tried to stop the bleeding. According to reports, the injured fan was immediately taken to a local hospital.
Despite this incident, Priyansh Arya batted brilliantly. He scored 29 runs in just 11 balls, which included five fours and a six. However, Joffra Archer dismissed him in the third over. Priyansh has been in great form this season and has scored 283 runs in seven matches.
