Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the state’s longest and most awaited Ganga Expressway. This 594 km long highway will not only connect western Uttar Pradesh with eastern UP, but will also act as a ‘growth engine’ for the state’s economy. With the commencement of this expressway, it will now take only 6 hours to cover the distance between Meerut and Prayagraj, which earlier used to take 12 to 14 hours. It starts from Bijauli village of Meerut and ends at Judapur Dandu village of Prayagraj. Advanced traffic management system has been installed on the entire road. Longest Expressway of UP: With a length of 594 km, it is currently the longest operational expressway of Uttar Pradesh.
