Runs rained in Wankhede, SRH created history: won the match by 244 22 balls first

New Delhi . Sunrisers Hyderabad further strengthened their name in IPL history by registering a magnificent victory against Mumbai Indians in a high-scoring match played at Wankhede Stadium. Chasing the huge target of 244 runs, Hyderabad won the match by six wickets, scoring 249 runs after losing four wickets in just 18.4 overs. This became the fourth largest successful run chase in IPL history.

After winning the toss and coming to bat first, Mumbai Indians scored runs in an explosive manner. On behalf of the team, Ryan Rickelton scored a brilliant century and remained unbeaten after scoring 123 runs in 55 balls. A flurry of fours and sixes was seen in his innings. In the beginning, Will Jacques also played a quick inning of 46 runs, due to which the team scored a huge score of 243 runs in 20 overs. Captain Hardik Pandya also contributed 31 runs.

However, even such a big score proved insufficient for Mumbai. In reply, Hyderabad had a very explosive start. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma added quick runs for the first wicket. Head played an explosive inning of 76 runs in just 30 balls, while Abhishek scored 45 runs.

Heinrich Klaasen took the responsibility in the middle order and led the team to victory by scoring unbeaten 65 runs in 30 balls. Along with him, Nitish Reddy and Salil Arora played important partnerships, due to which the team achieved the target very easily.

  • With this win, Hyderabad registered its fifth consecutive win and reached third place in the points table with 12 points. At the same time, this was the sixth defeat of Mumbai Indians in eight matches, due to which the team has slipped to ninth place and the path to the playoffs now looks difficult.

This match became one of the most exciting matches in the history of IPL, where the dominance of the batsmen was completely visible. This match once again proved that no target is impossible in T20 cricket, if there is strength in batting and accuracy in strategy.
