Hezbollah’s challenge to Israel’s air defense, even jamming will fail in front of this weapon!
Hezbollah Fiber Optic Drones Israel War: The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah has now reached such a dangerous point, where instead of weapons, this sophisticated and ‘invisible’ Technology has taken over.
Hezbollah has now introduced a weapon in the form of fiber-optic drones which has increased the challenges of Israel’s world famous air defense system manifold. The biggest feature of these small drones is that it is almost impossible to stop or jam them electronically.
What is fiber-optic technology?
These drones are completely different from normal radio-controlled drones. These are connected by fiber-optic cables as thin as dental floss. Since this cable creates a direct physical connection between the operator and the drone, Israel’s electronic jamming technology proves ineffective against them.
According to Robert Tolst, an expert at the Royal United Services Institute in London, these drones fly at very low altitudes and stealthily approach their targets, making them extremely lethal.
Why is Israel’s air defense system failing?
israeli’s Iron Dome And other air defense systems are capable of intercepting large rockets and missiles, but identifying these small drones has become a big problem. Ran Kochaev, former head of the Israeli Air Defense Command, has warned that these drones fly very low and very fast, making them difficult to detect on radar.
He also admitted that Israel for a long time focused only on missiles and rockets and did not give as much priority to the threat of drones. Currently, the Israeli army is trying to avoid them by installing safety cages and nets on their vehicles.
This new drone technology is inspired by Ukraine war
fiber-optic drones The idea stems from the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, where both sides are racing to develop new technology. Although the range of these drones is not as much as radio-controlled drones, some drones have also been seen with 50 kilometer long cables. In the border areas of Ukraine, these wires appear spread like a spider’s web. Hezbollah has now started using the same technique against Israeli soldiers on the southern Lebanon border.

Hezbollah has recently released several videos of attacks carried out by these drones on social media. An Israeli soldier was killed and several others were injured in one of the attacks. Another video shows how a drone attacked a vehicle parked near the soldiers and then another drone moved to target a helicopter that had landed at the same location. These incidents have made it clear that fiber-optic drones have now become the biggest threat to the troops deployed on the Lebanon border.
