New Delhi. National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the ‘Online Registration Portal’ for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. This examination will be conducted between June 22 and 30 for 85 subjects. This examination is conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for award of ‘Junior Research Fellowship’ (JRF), appointment as ‘Assistant Professor’ and admission to PhD programs in universities and colleges of the country.
NTA said in a statement on Wednesday that the portal for submission of online application forms will remain open till 11:50 pm from April 29 to May 20, 2026. The last date for depositing the examination fee will also be May 20, 2026 (till 11:50 pm). The exam center cities will be announced by June 10, 2026 while the admit cards will be available from June 15, 2026.
Candidates can apply only through online mode on the website linked to NTA Main and UGC NET examination. NTA said that the exam dates released at present are provisional and applicants will be informed in case of any change.
