Indian Railways : Announcement of special train for passengers going from Konkan to Goa; See schedule
Indian Railways | The number of passengers going to Goa from Maharashtra’s Konkan coast increases tremendously in summer. The number of tourists who go to Goa and have fun is high. Therefore, stress is always seen on Konkan Railway in summer. This situation continues this year as well. In such a situation, railway department has decided to start summer special train for the convenience of passengers. This train will run from Madar in North India to Madgaon in Goa. This is a ‘one-way’ train service and this train will benefit the passengers of cities like Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi in Maharashtra.
Regarding Madar – Madgaon special train schedule, train number 09607 will depart from Madar station on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 19.55 PM and reach Madgaon at 04.40 AM on Tuesday. During its journey, this train will stop at important stations in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Indian Railways
According to the Railway Department, after leaving Madar, the train will reach Ajmer, Vijayanagar, Bhilwara, Chittogarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaiwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Stops will be available at Karamali stations. Keeping in mind the various needs of the passengers, all categories of facilities have been provided in this train. Accordingly, the train will have a total of 22 coaches, including 2 Second AC, 6 Third AC, 1 Third AC Economy, 7 Sleeper, 4 General Class and 2 Powercar coaches. The railway administration has clarified that linen facility will not be available in this special train, so passengers should make their own arrangements and enjoy the journey.
