Bowlers laid the basis of victory
Royal Challengers Bangalore, who came to bat first after losing the toss at Narendra Modi Stadium, did not have a special start. The team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Devdutt Padikkal tried to control the innings by scoring 40 runs, but other batsmen could not make a big contribution. The entire team was reduced to 155 runs in 19.2 overs. Gujarat bowlers maintained the pressure with disciplined line-length.
Gill and Butler took command
Gujarat Titans had a balanced start while chasing the target of 156 runs. Captain Shubhman Gill and Jos Buttler batted with responsibility and put the team in a strong position. Both of them maintained pressure on the opposition bowlers by maintaining the run pace. Although some wickets fell in between, the team achieved the target by losing six wickets in 15.5 overs.
