Jaipur. Giving a big relief to the students applying under the post-matric scholarship schemes for the academic session 2025-26, the government has extended the last date of application to May 31.
The Social Justice and Empowerment Department took this decision on the instructions of Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot.
Earlier, the last date for scholarship application was fixed as 30th April, but in order to smoothly complete the departmental processes and to connect more and more eligible students with the scheme, an additional time of one month has been given.
The Minister said that the State Government is giving top priority to the interests of the students and it is being ensured that no eligible student is deprived of the benefits of the scholarship.
He said that this additional time has been given to complete the processes of registration and renewal of educational institutions, course mapping, recognition update and uploading course-wise fee structure on the departmental scholarship portal.
He said that detailed guidelines, eligibility conditions and application process information is available on the official website of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
An appeal has been made to the students and educational institutions to complete all the necessary documents and processes on time by May 31, so that more and more eligible students can get the benefit of the scholarship scheme.
This decision of the state government is likely to provide relief to thousands of students, especially those students who were not able to complete the application process on time due to some technical or institutional reason.
This step is considered important towards promoting education and providing support to students from economically weaker sections.
