Actually, Rajat Patidar pulled the short ball of Arshad Khan, who was bowling the eighth over of RCB’s innings, and the ball did not hit the bat properly. During this, Jason Holder, who was fielding at deep square leg, ran for the catch. Holder took the catch diving to his right. But, while taking the catch, Holder did not appear to be in control and while taking the catch, he fell on the ground and the ball hit the ground. This was clearly visible in the replays. Even when Holder got up, the ball was still touching the ground. At the same time, when the third umpire had declared Patidar out. Virat Kohli looked very angry and openly expressed his displeasure in front of the umpires. The wicket of the RCB captain was going to shift the momentum. After which the visiting team lost three wickets quickly and they were all out for just 155 runs.

During and after the match, commentator Aakash Chopra raised questions on the third umpire’s decision. Citing a video 33.3 Law, he said that when Holder took the catch, his body was not under control and the ball was touching the ground. In such a situation, he should not have been out. At the same time, former cricketer and commentator Mohammad Kaif also reiterated this point and called the batsman (Rajat Patidar) unlucky. Apart from this, former international umpire Anil Chaudhary termed the decision of Rajat Patidar’s dismissal as wrong.
