Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2005, since then he continued to rule Bihar by staying in his residence located at 1 Anne Marg. For the last two decades, 1 Anne Marg was known as the Chief Minister’s residence. But from today Nitish Kumar’s official residence will be known as 7 Circular Road. From today his new address has become 7 Circular Road.
House warming on Buddha Purnima
Nitish Kumar entered his new residence on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. On this special occasion, Buddhist monks performed rituals and worshiped, after which the Chief Minister shifted to the new residence. This morning, Buddhist monks were visiting his new residence and offering prayers since early morning.
Shifting continued since morning
Since morning, the goods were being shifted from 1 Anne Marg to the new residence located at 7 Circular Road. The shifting process continued throughout the day and after noon Nitish Kumar shifted to his new residence.
Became Lalu Prasad’s neighbor
With the shift to the new residence, Nitish Kumar has now become the neighbor of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad. Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi live in the government residence at 10 Circular Road, while Nitish Kumar’s new bungalow is next to it at 7 Circular Road.

Nitish Kumar has a long association with 7th Circular Road. Earlier, the Chief Secretary of Bihar used to live in this house, but when Jitan Ram Manjhi became the Chief Minister of Bihar, this house was got registered by Nitish Kumar in his name as the former Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar lived in this residence for 1 year. After Jitan Ram Manjhi stepped down as Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar again shifted to 1 Anne Marg and this residence continued to function under the Chief Minister’s office.
