Punjab Chief Minister will conduct Shukrana Yatra of Sikh religious places from May 6

Chandigarh. The Chief Minister of Punjab has announced that after the ‘Jagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act-2026’ passed in the Assembly on April 13 is made into law, he will pay a visit to the historical Sikh religious places. This journey will start from May 6.

Party’s Chief Whip Prof. during the one-day assembly session in Punjab Assembly on Friday. Baljinder Kaur, while presenting the motion, said that on April 13, ‘Jagat Jot Shri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act-2026’ was passed in the Punjab Assembly. On behalf of the government, it was sent to Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. It was approved by the Governor within a week. Baljinder Kaur presented a motion of thanks in the House on the enactment of this law.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann supported this and said that Waheguru has taken this service from him. For this he expresses gratitude to Waheguru. The Chief Minister said that after this law was made, many organizations approached him to honor him but he did not accept. This law has been made against those who disrespect Guru Granth Sahib. Some people are spreading false propaganda about it.

The Chief Minister said that this yatra will start from Anandpur Sahib from May 6. After this, by May 9, this yatra will pass through Akal Takht Sahib, Takht Shri Damdama Sahib, Mastuana Sahib, Gurudwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib and end at Fatehgarh Sahib. After the Chief Minister, the Speaker of the Assembly shouted five times in the House and after this the vote of thanks was passed.
