Balrampur.A horrific road accident that took place on Friday in Wadrafnagar of Balrampur district took away the life of a youth. A young man doing delivery work was hit so hard by a speeding truck coming from the front that he died on the spot.
According to the information received, a tragic accident took place on Friday near Ambedkar Chowk in Wadrafnagar police post area of Balrampur district, where a youth riding a bike was hit by a truck. According to eyewitnesses, the truck was coming at high speed from the opposite direction and immediately hit the bike.
The collision was so severe that the youth riding the bike died on the spot. It is being told that the young man was wearing a helmet, despite this his life could not be saved due to serious head injury.
The deceased has been identified as Vikas Dewangan, who was a resident of Barka village of Chalgali area. He lived in Wadrafnagar and worked for a delivery company. At the time of the incident, he was going towards Maheva on bike to deliver goods.
Eyewitnesses said that after the accident, instead of stopping the vehicle, the truck driver dragged the youth for some distance, due to which there was chaos at the spot. The people present nearby immediately informed the police.
As soon as the information was received, Wadrafnagar police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police have started a search to identify the truck involved in the incident and arrest the driver.
As soon as the news of this accident was received, there was mourning among the family members of the deceased. The family members are in deep shock. Police say that soon the accused driver will be arrested and further action will be taken.
