Prayagraj : A big news has come out. The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a petition ordering the filing of an FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, giving a big relief to Gandhi. The judgment was given by a single judge bench of the High Court. The petition was filed on January 15, 2025 seeking a direction to lodge an FIR against Rahul Gandhi in connection with a statement he made regarding the RRS. After completion of the hearing, the High Court reserved its verdict on the petition on April 8.
On a petition filed by a woman named Simran Gupta, Justice Vikram D. Chauhan has given this order. After hearing the arguments of the counsel for the petitioners and counsel for the state government in the earlier phase of the case, Justice Vikram D. Chauhan had reserved his order on April 8. Petitioner Simran Gupta had filed the petition in the High Court challenging the order passed by a court in Sambhal.

What exactly is the case?
In 2025, a court in Sambhal dismissed a plea seeking an FIR against Rahul Gandhi over an alleged controversial statement he had made. The petitioner had challenged this decision in the High Court. According to the petitioner, during the inauguration of the office of ‘Akhil Bharatiya Congress Samiti’ in 2025, Rahul Gandhi had said that we are fighting against BJP, RSS and Government of India. The petitioner argued that the statement had hurt the sentiments of people across the country; Also, this statement of Rahul Gandhi comes under the scope of treason, and he made this statement deliberately with the intention of creating instability in the country.
