Sun Group secures third Guinness World Record for Phu Quoc venue
The recognition, announced on May 1, was based on the venue’s total area of 6,825.22 square meters and seating capacity of up to 5,000 guests.

Opened in November 2024, Sun Bavaria GastroPub has become a prominent attraction in Phu Quoc, expanding its capacity from 1,000 to 5,000 seats in just over two years.
A central feature of the venue is Sun KraftBeer, a craft beer brewed on-site at Phu Quoc Brew House using a Bavarian-style recipe and imported ingredients from Germany.
The venue is also linked to Symphony of the Sea, a large-scale live show combining music, lighting, fireworks, and water sports performances staged offshore.
The show features international athletes performing jetski, flyboard, and jetsurf routines, accompanied by laser effects, water displays, and fireworks, contributing to the area’s nighttime entertainment offering.

As a dinner-show venue, Sun Bavaria GastroPub offers views of the Kiss Bridge and access to a second nightly fireworks display from Kiss of the Sea, a nearby multimedia performance.
The combination of dining, beachfront setting, and access to multiple shows creates a distinct entertainment format compared with conventional dining venues.

Many experts noted that the venue underwent three rounds of evaluation under technical standards, with oversight from independent witnesses and industry experts. They also note that the venue’s scale, beachfront location, and integration with large-scale performances make it a relatively uncommon model globally.
This marks the third Guinness World Record title associated with Phu Quoc developments by Sun Group, following the Hon Thom Cable Car, recognized as the world’s longest three-wire cable car, and the Kiss of the Sea theater, described as the world’s largest permanent water projection theater.

The new recognition adds to Phu Quoc’s growing portfolio of international tourism landmarks and reinforces the island’s position as an emerging destination capable of competing with leading tourism hubs across the region and beyond.
