Israeli airstrike causes massive devastation in Lebanon, 7 people killed; The attack is not stopping even after the ceasefire

Israeli Airstrikes Lebanon Ceasefire Violation: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, Southern Lebanon is once again shaken. At least seven people were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes that hit parts of southern Lebanon on Friday. This attack has taken place at a time when ceasefire is officially in force between the two sides since April 17.

Residential areas and vehicles were targeted

In subsequent attacks, a vehicle was targeted, killing two people, while three others were killed in an attack on a residential house. Two more people were killed in a separate airstrike in the village of Shoukin, according to Lebanon’s state news agency.

Hezbollah’s retaliation

According to the news, in retaliation, Hezbollah has also targeted Israeli soldiers. The group claimed responsibility for the drone attack on Israeli soldiers inside a house in the coastal village of Bayad. Hezbollah claims the attack is a retaliation against ongoing Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon.

Ceasefire seems to be failing

This round of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah started on March 2 when Hezbollah fired rockets at northern Israel, soon after the US and Israel started military operations against Iran. Since then this tension has spread throughout the region. Due to which the possibility of a major regional war has increased considerably.

How long has the ceasefire been going on in Israel-Lebanon?
