No one has been able to break the record of Sairat cinema in the last ten years in Marathi cinema. Sairat is the highest grossing film in Marathi cinema till date. But, looking at the opening day earnings of ‘Raja Shivaji’, there are doubts that this movie will surpass Sairat soon. Meanwhile, earlier Sairat was the highest opening movie in Marathi cinema, which amount (Sairat Opening : ₹3.60 Crore) is almost 3 to 4 times less than that of Raja Shivaji. Therefore, the Marathi film ‘Raja Shivaji’, which earned more than 10 crores in a single day, has a great chance of becoming the highest grossing film in the Marathi cinema world by performing a record breaking performance.
