Yash May Take Break After Ramayana, Toxic
Mumbai: Yash has revealed that he may take a brief break after completing his upcoming films Ramayana and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, following years of continuous work behind the scenes.
The actor, who was last seen on the big screen in KGF: Chapter 2, shared that despite the gap in releases, he has been consistently busy working on these large-scale projects.
Actor hints at taking time off
In a recent interview, Yash admitted that while he has not taken a break in recent years, he is now considering stepping away briefly after his films hit theatres.
He said that managing two ambitious projects simultaneously has been demanding, especially given his vision of positioning his films on a global platform. According to the actor, such projects require significant time, planning and involvement, which explains the long gap since his last release.
Yash added that although it may appear he has been away from cinema, he has been fully occupied with work and has barely had time to rest.
Focus on family time
The actor emphasised that his potential break would primarily be to spend quality time with his family. He noted that balancing personal life alongside large-scale film commitments has been challenging.
“I would probably take a small break and then get back to it,” he said, indicating that the pause would be temporary rather than a long hiatus.
He also clarified that he is not currently planning his next project, choosing instead to focus on completing his existing commitments.
Big projects lined up
Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has already generated significant buzz. The film features a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth. Its release has been postponed from its earlier planned date.
Meanwhile, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is being developed as a two-part mythological epic. The first instalment is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
The film features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey.
Long wait for fans
Fans have been eagerly awaiting Yash’s return since KGF: Chapter 2, which was a massive commercial success. The actor’s decision to focus on high-quality, large-scale films has contributed to the delay in his next release.
However, anticipation remains high for both Ramayana and Toxic, which are expected to showcase Yash in diverse roles and mark his expansion into pan-India and global cinema.
Conclusion
Yash’s statement suggests that while he remains deeply committed to his craft, he is also mindful of the need for personal time. With two major releases lined up, a short break could offer the actor a chance to recharge before embarking on his next cinematic journey.
