What is Global Military Power Index?
This is an international level assessment, in which the military strength of different countries is tested on many parameters. It includes aspects such as defense budget, number of weapons, technical capability, military resources and geographical location. A lower score in this index is considered to mean more strength.
America is at the forefront
America remains at first place in this list. The main reasons behind this are its huge defense budget, state-of-the-art weapons and strong military presence globally.
Russia and China
Russia is at second place in this list, which is known for its large military resources and weapons stockpile. In third place is China, which has rapidly increased its military technology and strength in the last few years.
India at fourth place
India is at fourth place in this list, which is a matter of pride for the country. India has one of the largest armies in the world and is continuously strengthening its defence. Modern missile system, strong navy and advanced air force are its major strengths.
Other major countries
In this, South Korea is in fifth place, whose army is known for modern technology. At sixth place is France, which is among the major military powers of Europe. Whereas Japan is in seventh place, which is very technologically advanced. Britain is in eighth place, whose military has had global influence for a long time.
Turkey and Italy in top 10
At ninth place is Turkey, which has emerged as a strong military power at the regional level. At the tenth place is Italy, which plays its strategic role in Europe.
