Second district conference of AISA Supaul concluded, formation of 17 member committee

Supaul/Triveniganj: The second district conference of All India Students Association (AISA) Supaul was successfully concluded on Sunday at Anupalal Yadav College campus, Triveniganj. A large number of students and youth from across the district participated in the conference and emphasis was laid on strengthening the organization.

Addressing the conference, AISA National General Secretary Prasenjit Kumar said that in the present times, the students and youth of the country are facing serious challenges on the issues of education, employment, gender and social justice. He alleged that the BJP government at the Center and the state government of Bihar are making education a means of profit instead of a right, due to which the students of poor and working class are being deprived of education.

He said that the implementation of the new education policy 2020 has put additional pressure on the education system and education is becoming increasingly expensive. Also expressed concern over the closure of government schools, incidents of paper leaks and chaos in educational institutions. He also described the increasing problems in universities and colleges and increasing tension among students as a serious issue.

Prosenjit Kumar said that there is a need to implement the equality related provisions brought by the UGC after the Rohit Vemula episode, but the central government did not take the required initiative in this direction. He called for intensifying the student movement to implement these provisions.

A 17-member district committee was formed in the organizational session of the conference. In this, Santosh Kumar Siota was made the District Secretary and Ramashish was made the District President. Whereas Sunil Kumar Sardar, Anku Anand and Abhinav Anand were given the responsibility of District Vice President, Shashikant Kumar and Abhinandan Kumar were given the responsibility of Joint Secretary.

In the conference, Male District Secretary Jaynarayan Yadav, former AISA Secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Chaudhary, Grand Alliance candidate from Pipra Assembly Anil Kumar, Khegaramas District Secretary Janmjay Rai, Mulesh Kumar Sharma, Mohd. Hundreds of students and youth including Abdul were present.

At the end of the conference, a resolution was taken to further strengthen the organization and intensify the struggle on issues of student interest.
