How to change address through head of family?

1: First, open the ‘Aadhaar App on your phone and log-in using your 6-digit PIN. Then, go to the ‘Services’ section and click on ‘Address Update’. Here you will see an option ‘Update Your Address Using a Family Member’s Aadhaar’. Select this option and proceed.

2: Carefully read the information displayed on the screen and tap on ‘Continue To Update Address’. If you are using the app only on your registered mobile number, OTP will not be required; Otherwise, an OTP will be sent to your registered number, which you will have to enter there.

3: Now, you have to enter the Aadhaar number of the ‘Head of Family’ whose address you want to use. Then, select your relationship with them (eg father, husband, wife, etc.) and tick the ‘Self Declaration’ box. After this, you will need to complete your ‘Face Authentication’.

4: A charge of ₹75 is applicable for this service. You can pay this fee using any online payment method of your choice. After the payment is successful, you will receive a ‘receipt’, with a unique SRN mentioned on it. Keep this receipt safe, as the head of the household will need it.

5: Now, the head of the family needs to log-in to their own ‘Aadhaar App’. They should go to ‘Services’ section and click on ‘Member Request’. There, they should enter the SRN number provided by you. The new address will appear on the Head of Household screen; After reviewing it, they should press the ‘Approve’ button. Once the request is approved by the head of family, your address updating process will be completed successfully.
