Relief news has emerged for the passengers waiting for flights from Noida International Airport. After a long wait, now commercial flights from this airport are going to start from June 15. With its commencement, the people of Delhi-NCR will get a new and modern option for air travel, which is expected to reduce the pressure of passengers at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Indigo will start services
Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), which is handling the operation of the airport, has informed that the country’s major airline IndiGo will be the first to start its services from here. Under the agreement between the airline and the airport management, Indigo’s first flight will take off from here. Initially, services will be available only on limited domestic routes, but considering the demand and need of passengers, their number will be gradually increased.
Route and timing not made public
After Indigo, other airlines will also start their flights from this airport. According to the information, after IndiGo, Akasa Air will start its services and then Air India Express will also join the operations. However, detailed information related to routes, timings and other facilities of flights has not been made public yet, which is likely to be released soon.
According to the airport authority, all the necessary technical preparations and security related arrangements have almost been completed. This is to ensure that passengers get a safe and smooth travel experience. It is noteworthy that this state-of-the-art airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28. Apart from this, the airport has also received necessary approvals related to security. Facilities like modern terminal, better operational system and multimodal connectivity will be provided in this airport, which will provide more convenience and comfort to the passengers during travel.
