Nainital. In a horrific road accident on Monday in the Pines area near the district headquarters, a Thar car fell into a deep ditch, in which a youth died while two others were seriously injured.
According to the information received, in the accident, the Thar vehicle went out of control and fell into a ditch about 100 meters deep. There were three youths in the Thar. On information, the police and SDRF team jointly carried out a tough rescue operation and took out the three injured people to BD Pandey Hospital, where doctors declared 21-year-old Rahul Kumar, resident of Haldwani, dead, while the treatment of Arvind Singh (24) and Yuvraj Singh (20) is going on.
According to the information received, Arvind Singh son of Laxman Singh and Yuvraj Singh son of Bharat Singh, resident of Dangiawas, Jodhpur Rajasthan, were coming to Nainital after visiting Kainchi Dham and Ghorakhal temple along with their friend Rahul Kumar, resident of Haldwani. Since Rahul had an exam in the afternoon, he was driving fast. The vehicle suddenly went out of control and fell into a ditch near the Pines cremation ground. On information from local people, police, SDRF and others reached the spot and carried out relief and rescue operations. CO City Anjana Negi, CMO Dr. Harish Chandra Pant and Kotwal Harish Chandra Pant reached the hospital and took stock of the situation. Necessary legal action is being taken by the police.
