Vicky Kaushal likely to play fourth lead in ‘3 Idiots’ sequel
A new update has come in about the sequel to the popular film 3 Idiotswith Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal being considered for a key role.
According to India media reports, the Sam Bahadur actor had been in talks to join the project, which is being developed as 4 Idiots.
He had reportedly been approached to play the role of the “fourth idiot,” alongside actors Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi.
The film had been in the writing stage, with director Rajkumar Hirani working with writer Abhijat Joshi on the script. Reports stated that the team had been taking time to develop a story that matched the impact of the original film.
Sources said that Vicky had liked the script and showed interest in the project. A source stated, “Kaushal is keen on sharing screen space with Aamir Khan and contributing to a franchise that enjoys strong recall.”

The source further shared, “Multiple meetings between Vicky, Aamir and Hirani had taken place, and Vicky had verbally agreed to the role, though schedules were yet to be aligned.”
Before starting this project, the actor had been expected to complete his work commitments for another film.
Earlier, Aamir Khan had confirmed that a sequel to the hit film 3 Idiots was in development during a recent conversation The project was being worked on by director Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi.
Released in 2009, 3 Idiots remained one of the most successful and influential films in Indian cinema, and the sequel announcement has already created strong anticipation among fans.
