66 percent unhappy… Donald Trump’s popularity plummets in America
Desk: President Donald Trump’s overall popularity has dropped to 37 percent, and 66 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with his economic policies, a survey has revealed.
The survey is considered crucial ahead of the November elections, midway through the US president’s four-year term. According to the survey, Trump received relatively strong support on the issue of immigration. 45 percent approved of his policies on the US-Mexico border, while 54 percent disapproved.
A significant number of Americans surveyed said they do not trust any political party on key issues: 23 percent on immigration, 27 percent on the economy, 28 percent on crime, and 33 percent on inflation.
Nearly 51 percent of Americans also expressed no confidence in either the Republican or Democratic Party on the issue of artificial intelligence (AI). Tensions with Iran have impacted trust in Trump on economic issues, a key factor in his return to the presidency for a second term in 2024.
