The Directorate of Education in the country’s capital Delhi has made an official announcement. in Delhi schools 11 May to 30 June 2026 There will be summer holidays till then. This means that children will get a long break of full 50 days and schools will now open directly on July 1, 2026. At the same time, according to the educational calendar of government schools of Uttar Pradesh 20th May to 15th June Holidays have been fixed till. Although the private schools of UP have decided to start the holidays between May 15 and 20, but if the heat increases then the district authorities can order to close the schools even before time.

Heat wave alert in Rajasthan, know the complete calendar of holidays

Rajasthan is known for its scorching heat, hence the education department here has already released the calendar out of caution. in schools of Rajasthan 17 May to 20 June 2026 Summer holidays have been declared till now. In many districts, in view of the strong sunlight and heat wave, school timings have already been changed so that children can be protected from the afternoon heat. It is expected that if the temperature does not drop by the end of June, the holidays may be extended further.

Vacation will start from June in Bihar and Haryana

Children of Bihar and Haryana will have to wait a little longer for holidays as schools here will be closed in June. According to Bihar Education Department, in the state 1st June to 20th June 2026 Summer vacation has been fixed till now. Similarly in Haryana also 1st June to 30th June Till now schools will remain closed and children will be able to enjoy the holidays. However, there is a possibility of change in the dates in view of the heatwave and heat wave conditions in both these states.

Relief announced in Punjab and Bengal also

The West Bengal government has already declared holidays in all the districts except the hilly areas (Darjeeling and Kalimpong). In Punjab too, holidays have been declared in different phases during May and June so that there is no loss of studies and children can be protected from heat wave. Parents are advised to get accurate information from their school teachers as the local administration sometimes changes its decisions depending on the season.
