The collision was so severe that both the bikes were blown to pieces. In this accident, Shivgarh resident Shyambihari died on the spot, while three people riding on the other bike were seriously injured.

After the accident, with the help of local people, the injured were taken to Sarai Community Health Center. After first aid, the doctors referred him to the district hospital (Trauma Centre, Baidhan) as his condition became serious.

During this time, great negligence of the health system came to light. Due to non-availability of ambulance in the hospital, the injured kept suffering on stretchers for a long time. Later, social worker Prem Singh Bhati, taking humanitarian initiative, arranged for a private ambulance, so that the injured could be sent to the district hospital.
