Delhi Police has presented a detailed charge sheet of about 500 pages in this case in Dwarka Court. A total of 20 people have been made accused in this, including two minors. This incident that took place in Uttam Nagar had created an atmosphere of tension and panic in the area at that time. According to police investigation, following a dispute on Holi day, the accused allegedly surrounded Tarun near his house and attacked him with sticks. He was seriously injured in this attack and later died. Further hearing in this case will now be held in Dwarka Court, where the prosecution will proceed against the accused on the basis of its evidence. At the same time, Delhi Police says that the investigation of the case has been done with full seriousness and on the basis of evidence.

According to the police, after the role of two minor accused in the case came to light, the case has been sent to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) for action against them. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the remaining 18 accused under various serious sections. These include serious sections like SC/ST Act, illegal assembly, inciting riot and murder. Along with this, sections 95 and 103(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) have also been imposed on the accused, which further increases the seriousness of the case.

How was Tarun murdered?

The incident is said to have taken place on March 4, when on the day of Holi, a water balloon thrown by a small girl fell on a woman living in the neighbourhood. There was an altercation between the two sides regarding this matter, which gradually escalated into a violent clash. According to police investigation, after the dispute escalated, the accused allegedly surrounded Tarun Bhutolia near his house and brutally attacked him with sticks. The charge sheet also mentions that he was seriously injured in the attack and died the next day. After this incident, an atmosphere of tension was created in the entire area. Seeing the situation, the police immediately intensified the investigation and started investigating all aspects related to the case.

2 accused absconding

According to police officials, many important evidences have been included in the charge sheet during the investigation. This includes statements of eyewitnesses, CCTV footage and other technical evidence, on the basis of which the link to the entire incident has been linked. At the same time, two accused are still said to be absconding in the case. A non-bailable warrant has been issued against him and the police are continuously raiding for his arrest. Officials say that several teams have been deployed to quickly catch the absconding accused and raids are being conducted at possible hideouts.
