UP Census 2026 Self Enumeration: Do online census sitting at home, know the method
Uttar Pradesh There is good news for the people of. The process of self enumeration of census is starting in the state from Thursday. In this, people will be able to fill all their information online sitting at their home. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will formally start the self-counting by filling his information on this portal at his residence on Thursday. This facility will make it very easy for the common people as they will not have to wait for the enumeration officials to come to their homes.
This process of self-counting will continue till May 21. After this, from May 22, census officers will start door-to-door work. They will do two things, they will check the information of the people who have done their self-enumeration. Those who did not self-enumerate, they will fill in their complete information themselves. This phase will continue till June 20. In this, enumerators will count every house and will also count the houses. The second phase of the census will take place next year.
This time the entire census will be conducted digitally
This time the entire census is being conducted in digital mode, that is, everything is online. People just have to go to a particular portal. The address of the portal is – se.census.gov.in. By going here people will be able to answer 34 questions. After filling the answers, they will get a unique self-assessment ID (SE ID). When the officials come to their house, they will check this ID and register it on the portal.
How will the family be counted?
The census rules are very clear. People who live together and cook and eat in the same kitchen will be considered a family. Shared kitchen will be the main basis for establishing a family. The definition of a house is also clear – that place will be considered as a house which has a separate main gate. It is necessary to have a separate door leading from the courtyard, road or staircase.
How to do self calculation?
Follow these easy steps to calculate yourself:
Open se.census.gov.in portal
Register Family (Enter your name and mobile number)
Select your preferred language
Verify with OTP (One Time Password)
Fill in your full address and mark your home on the map
Fill in the answers to all 34 questions
Finally submit and get your SE ID
Later, when the enumerators come, they will check your ID and register it on the portal.
