The weather will remain super active for 3 days! Alert of thunderstorm and heavy rain in Uttarakhand including Delhi-UP

The weather is going to change once again in many states of the country. A new phase of rain is about to begin in large parts of North India including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh with strong winds, thunder and lightning. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for many states from 10 to 12 May. During this period, there is also a possibility of hailstorm and strong storm at some places.

Even on Thursday, the weather changed in Delhi-NCR. The sky remained cloudy and there was a possibility of light rain in some areas. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the impact of western disturbance, the weather may change suddenly in many parts of North India in the coming days. There is also a forecast of snowfall along with rain in the hilly states.

Rain alert in Delhi, UP and Punjab

According to the Meteorological Department, during May 10 to 12, the effect of rain and strong winds will be seen in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in many areas. There is a possibility of change in weather in many parts of Uttar Pradesh also. A drop in temperature may be seen due to strong winds and rain. An alert has also been issued regarding rain in many cities of Punjab and Haryana.

How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?

There is a possibility of people getting relief from the scorching heat in Delhi on May 7 also. The sky will be cloudy and there may be light rain in the afternoon or evening. Although the weather is expected to remain normal on May 8 and 9, the rainy season is expected to start once again from May 10. There may also be rain and strong winds in areas like Gurugram, Sonipat, Panipat and Chandigarh of Haryana.

Forecast of rain and snowfall in Uttarakhand and Himachal

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Uttarakhand between May 6 and 8. Apart from this, a new phase of strong winds, thunder and lightning may start in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 11 and 12 May. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour in these states. Light to moderate rain and snowfall may also occur in high altitude areas.

Weather will change in Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand also

In the states of Eastern India also, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain and storm. Rain alert has been issued in Bengal and Sikkim till May 9. There is a possibility of lightning and heavy rain in the plains of Ganga from 6th to 8th May and again on 10th May.

The period of rain and thundershowers may continue in Bihar from 6th to 10th May. There is a possibility of rain and storm in Jharkhand and Odisha also for the next seven days.

Rain alert in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also

The effect of rain and strong winds can be seen in Madhya Pradesh on 7th May. A rain alert has been issued in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh from 7 to 10 May. There is a possibility of lightning and strong winds in these areas. Hail warning has also been issued in Vidarbha region.

Heavy rain warning in South and Northeast India

There is a possibility of thunder, lightning and heavy rain in North-Eastern India also. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding heavy rains and strong winds for the next 6 to 7 days in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. In view of the continuously changing weather in these states, people have been advised to remain alert.
